In partnership with Filmlab and the British Council, EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) is conducting its inaugural EAVE on Demand Producer’s Workshop. The workshop is designed to provide intensive training and development opportunities for producers in the film industry, focusing on the unique demands of producing long feature and documentary film projects.
EAVE, a leading European organization founded in 1988, has a long-standing reputation for its commitment to supporting producers at every stage of their careers. Their flagship program, the EAVE Producers Workshop, is renowned internationally for offering a blend of professional training, development, and invaluable networking opportunities. Over the years, EAVE has expanded its reach globally, running programs in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Russia, Africa, and the Middle East. Their primary objective is to foster the growth of co-production relationships and facilitate collaboration between producers from different regions of the world.
The EAVE on Demand Producer’s Workshop took place from March 26 to 29, 2018, and involved eight selected participants. These producers worked on their feature or documentary film projects, and the four-day workshop provided them with personalized guidance, insights, and strategic advice from three experienced EAVE experts. This intensive workshop helped the participants refine their projects, gain a deeper understanding of the international film market, and build connections within the global filmmaking community.
EAVE’s impressive network of over 2,000 producers, funders, sales agents, distributors, and commissioning editors plays a key role in the workshop’s success. The training also served as an opportunity for participants to tap into this extensive network, forging potential co-production partnerships and gaining access to resources and industry knowledge that will be crucial for the success of their projects.
The EAVE on Demand Producer’s Workshop offers a unique opportunity for producers to take their projects to the next level, while also building the kind of cross-border collaborations that are essential to today’s international film landscape.
