Sarajevo Film Festival

In 2017, Filmlab Palestine, in partnership with the Sarajevo Film Festival, offered a unique opportunity for two Palestinian filmmakers working on feature films to attend the renowned Sarajevo Film Festival. This exciting opportunity allowed the selected filmmakers to participate in the CineLink Industry Days, held from August 13 to 17, 2017.

Through this initiative, Filmlab and the Sarajevo Film Festival provided Palestinian filmmakers with access to a vibrant international film community, facilitating connections with regional and global industry professionals. The CineLink Co-Production Market gave the filmmakers a platform to meet potential collaborators, including producers, distributors, and other filmmakers, while also gaining valuable insights into the co-production process.

In addition, the filmmakers had the chance to attend the Regional Forum Conference, where they engaged in discussions on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. They were also invited to participate in Talents Sarajevo masterclasses and sessions, which further supported their professional development and offered networking opportunities.

This project aimed to strengthen the presence of Palestinian filmmakers in the international film industry by providing access to key events, fostering collaborations, and enhancing their skills and knowledge. The opportunity served as an invaluable step for these young filmmakers to showcase their work and expand their horizons in the global film industry.
