To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, Filmlab Palestine, in collaboration with the Ramallah Municipality, presents four films that delve into this devastating period and its aftermath in the lives of Palestinians, exploring the national and cultural identity. The presence of the Nakba in these films varies, but it is most prominent in the four productions, each offering unique approaches and production timelines. We revisit the significance of the Nakba in Palestinian cinema through the screening of these films, namely "The Time That Remains” by Elia Suleiman, "Farha" by Darin Sallam, "The Gate of Sun" by Yousry Nasrallah, and "Return to Haifa" by Kassem Hawal.
