CPH:LAB

CPH:LAB

CPH:LAB is CPH:DOX’s talent development programme that encourages creative risk taking, celebrates raw talent, facilitates collaboration across borders and business sectors and supports visionaries to push the existing boundaries of documentary filmmaking. Since 2009 the lab has established itself as a highly acknowledged, ambitious and yet playful laboratory-style talent scheme showing great results.

For the upcoming edition, we are looking for documentary projects and professionals seeking to explore the potential of digital technologies and advance new visions of what a documentary can be in a digital age.

CPH:LAB offers a space for experimentation and collaboration in creative, cross-disciplinary partnerships across the creative arts, science, technology and social entrepreneurship. We are interested in the field between documentary and digital technologies, where interactivity supports the creation of a narrative universe exploring phenomena that affect individuals and society.

The selected projects / participants are invited to a seven-day workshop with a team of international experts in Copenhagen in September 2019, where we will work on concept and story development, the creation of a prototype and a pitch deck. Participants will get additional mentoring through Autumn and Winter and will be invited back to present their prototypes at CPH:DOX in March 2020.

CPH:LAB is supported by Creative Europe Media and the Danish Film Institute.
